About us
Hi, I am Ernesto; I was born in Madrid, where I co-founded the association Mahjong Madrid (opens in a new tab), but I married a woman from Gijón and moved to Asturias five years ago.
I want to build a mahjong community in Asturias. I look for players, I want to teach people who do not know the game and I want to organize tournaments.
I play in European competition. I have played 28 MCR and Riichi tournaments in 12 cities across 6 countries (Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Sweden and Denmark). They include the 2019 World Championship (opens in a new tab) and the European Championships of 2017 (opens in a new tab) and 2023 (opens in a new tab), although without great results. You can check it on my EMA profile (opens in a new tab). I mostly play MCR, but I also play Riichi, the variant I learned 16 years ago.
I am also a developer. I created
Mahjong Scoring (opens in a new tab), a free Android app that helps to keep the scores in MCR games.
